Hello friends, how are you!?! Today I will discuss an important term, the term is OPACITY. you know what is opacity? as a designer, you must have to know? ok let's start,
OPACITY
The measurement of electromagnetics impenetrability measure is known as opacity or we can say that other types of radiation. Chiefly in visible light. It relates the scattering and absorption of radiation in a medium like dielectric, shielding material, glass, and plasma etc.
In the sector of graphics design, the designer used opacity in graphics software to define how "nontransparent" an image is. Another way we can say that the more transparent an image or image layer is, the lower its opacity.
Graphics editors And Adobe Photoshop editors provide an Opacity slider that we can use to adjust the opacity of an image layer.
We can explain this term according to practical work and I think this will be the easiest way to keep it in our mind,
Nowadays, mostly in the print sector we notice that a print item like the poster, brochure or flyer there are two or three backgrounds are used but these are not clear to see just we can find out here is something that relates the main part of this print item. Here designer reduces the opacity level of that background image so that the main theme of that print item is focused on the reader.
With the help of this picture, we can understand the term opacity so easily, in picture one we notice that there is a floral view but it is not clear but the text we love red graphics is very clear, here floral view portion is the background of that text, in picture two we notice that there is a very clear view of floral pattern and have a text WE LOVE RED GRAPHICS, here individually both are clear but if we think text is our main part, then what you will say.......!!!??!! because background part have the 100% opacity lebel.
Finally, we will say, that when we use an image or text as background we reduce its opacity level to focus the main portion and the main portion have 100% opacity level.
